Our Process
Our Approach
At Gabriel Custom Homes, we believe that building a custom home should be a rewarding and transparent experience. Our process is carefully designed to guide you every step of the way—from the first conversation to move-in day—with unmatched attention to detail and a personalized approach.
Initial Consultation
Every custom home starts with a conversation. We begin with a one-on-one consultation to understand your vision, lifestyle, preferences, and budget.
If you already own a homesite—or are considering purchasing one—we’ll meet you on-site to evaluate the land. Together, we’ll walk the property, discussing features such as orientation, topography, trees, and the best way to situate your future home.
Don’t have a lot yet? No problem. Through our real-estate contacts and strong relationships with local developers, we can help you find the ideal homesite by accessing hundreds of listings via the MLS (Multiple Listing Service).
Design
&
Planning
Once we understand your goals, our architectural and design partners collaborate with you to bring them to life. Whether you’re starting from scratch or customizing one of our existing plans, we tailor every design to reflect your personality, needs, and taste.
We’ll also stake out the home’s layout on your lot so you can visualize its position before building begins
Budgeting
&
Proposal
Transparency is central to everything we do. Once a preliminary plan is ready, we’ll meet to review all structural and design features—along with your selected finish-out details.
We then present a detailed proposal that includes a comprehensive budget, timeline, and scope of work. This allows you to make informed decisions with confidence. If everything meets your expectations, we move forward with your approval to begin the build.
Pre-Construction Preparation
Before breaking ground, we take care of all necessary permits, materials procurement, and construction scheduling in accordance with your city’s laws.
Our quality assurance practices go above and beyond industry norms. Every foundation is inspected by a licensed engineer. Septic systems are also engineered and inspected. Additionally, we employ an independent third-party inspector to review every major milestone—including foundation, framing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and the final build.
Even in areas where inspections aren’t required by the municipality, we maintain this rigorous process to ensure the integrity and excellence of your home.
We’ll also stake out the home’s layout on your lot so you can visualize its position before building begins
